Hoja Santa is a homage and compliment to Mexican culture, for this reason world known cooks Albert Adrià and Paco Méndez have collaborated on an adventure into the creation of a restaurant in Barcelona, to share the flavours and traditions of Mexico. The name HOJA SANTA came from a journey made by the chefs Albert and Paco to Oaxaca. Here they were inspired by the Oaxaca leaf which also goes by the names acuyo, momo, hierba santa or tlanepa and is often used in cooking in the region. The restaurant has a Michelin star.

Description

It’s a closely-guarded secret, and you’ll need a private pin code to get in. This is a new dining experience and Spanish chefs Adrià and Peña are keeping it close to their chest. Adrià claims to want to ‘reinvent the way we go to restaurants’ and he is doing just that with this restaurant.
