Located on the historical site of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, the Casa Convalescència building is managed by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Institutions like the Fundació UAB, UAB Idiomes Barcelona, the Fundació Ageing&Health and the Institut de Ciències de l’Educació de la UAB, all have their headquarters here.

Casa Convalescència offers a variety of spaces for the organization of conferences, conventions, meetings, seminars, courses and other events. Fully endowed with all necessary services and equipment, the building also has its own restaurant and catering service.

Casa Convalescència consists of 6,245 m2 edified surface, distributed over four floors and a basement. In total there are 27 meeting rooms and auditoriums fully equipped with multimedia technology and supporting audiovisual material. The range of spaces offers room for groups from 15 up to 400 people, with the total capacity of meeting rooms and auditoriums around 1,000 people.

Fabra Observatory, Barcelona Welcome to the Fabra Observatory of Barcelona Fabra Observatory, located in Tibidabo mountain, is a unique and emblematic space in the city, from its beginnings, it works around three areas: Astronomy, Meteorology and Seismology.

The Astronomical area is dedicated to little planets and comets astrometry within the framework of international programs.

The Meteorological area studies in detail the local climatology. The Seismic area intervenes in the world seismology, but particularly in the regional seismicity.

The Fabra Observatory belongs to the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona (RACAB). Built thanks to a legacy of Mr. Camil Fabra Fontaills, first Marquis of Alella, and inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII in 1904. The building was designed by the modernist architect Josep Domènech and Estepà.

The Fabra Observatory is the fourth most antique that is still active.
